Hiyas A. Hila in a Solo Piano Recital with the Manila Symphony Orchestra
(conducted by Arturo T. Molina)

A piano solo recital organized by UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association featuring Hiyas A. Hila, a multi-awarded pianist. She earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and currently pursuing her Doctorate in Musical Arts at the University of Minnesota’s School of Music under Prof. Lydia Artymiw.

Repertoire includes 32 Variations in C Minor (Beethoven), Preludes (Paulus), Images, Book 1 (Debussy), and Overture to Die Zauberflote, K. 620 and Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K488 (Mozart)

11th International Korean Oratorical Speech Contest (Korean languages)

“An Evening of Wind and Piano Music”

The UST Conservatory of Music Alumni Association (USTCMAA) presents a concert of wind and piano music featuring three of UST’s outstanding alumni: Ariel Sta. Ana (clarinet), Adolfo Mendoza (bassoon), and Mary Anne Espina (piano). Proceeds of the concert will be for the scholarship fund of the USTCMAA.

Repertoire includes Konzertstuck No. 1 in F minor, Op. 113 (Mendelssohn), Duo in E flat, Op. 15 (Burgmuller), Suite for bassoon and piano (Tansman), Libertango, trio (Piazolla), Duet for clarinet and bassoon (Poulene), Hungarian Fantasy (Weber), I’ve got Rhythm (Gershwin), and Trio Pathetique (Glinka).

“Alamat: The Musicale”

A contemporary, fantasy-oriented stage play organized by Malayang Sining Productions, Inc. , which focuses on the devastation of the environment and its consequences. It presents present-day calamities as consequences of man’s greed and disrespect for nature. The play involves characters in Filipino legends like Lam-Ang, Innes Canoyan, Maria Makiling, Maria Sinukuan, and Maria Cacao among others. Directed by Christian Erwin Mangasin, artistic director of Samahang Moro-moro ng Las Pinas Orihinal, Inc. (SMLPOI).
